This year, as part of the Office’s involvement in WorkSafe’s Health and Safety Month, the FOI Commissioner has become a signatory to the Tristan Jepson Memorial Foundation’s “Best Practice Guidelines.”
The Guidelines are a framework to create a psychologically healthy and safe workplace, outlining 13 principles which address psycho-social factors identified in research undertaken by the Foundation. Although the Guidelines were developed specifically with the legal profession, they are pertinent to all industries and workplaces. As a signatory, the Office is committing to uphold the spirit of the Guidelines for all staff and ensure they are implemented office-wide.
